  • Remote sensing encompasses a wide range of applications, from commercial satellites focused on earth research to low-flying aircraft and UAVs used for precision agriculture. Many environmental secrets have been unlocked thanks to the precision and capability of Headwall’s hyperspectral sensor solutions.

    Micro-Hyperspec® G-Series covers the 400-1000nm VNIR spectral range; other versions are also available for the NIR (900-1700nm), Extended VNIR (550-1700nm) and SWIR (950-2500nm) ranges. Headwall’s patented aberration-corrected optics assure best resolution, high signal to noise and flight-path efficiency thanks to a very wide field-of-view.

  • Hyperspec® SWIR is built on a totally reflective concentric, f/2.0 optical design that includes aberration-corrected imaging in a lightweight design that is optimized for harsh environments. It provides 384 Spatial bands, 266 Spectral bands, and both Base CameraLink and RS232 connectivity

     

  • Hyperspec® NIR is built on a totally reflective concentric, f/2.0 optical design that includes aberration-corrected imaging in a lightweight design that is optimized for harsh environments. Two versions of Hyperspec NIR are available, each providing 320 spatial bands and 166 spectral bands. The R-Series has Base CameraLink connectivity while the X-Series uses USB.

     

  • Hyperspec® VNIR is built on a totally reflective concentric, f/2.0 optical design that includes aberration-corrected imaging in a lightweight design that is optimized for harsh environments. Three versions of Hyperspec VNIR are available: The N-Series provides 1004 spatial bands and 775 spectral bands (Base CameraLink connectivity). The A-Series provides 1004/837 with Base CameraLink connectivity, and the E-Series offers 1600/953 with Full CameraLink

     

  • Headwall’s hyperspectral sensors deliver aberration-corrected imaging characterized by high spatial and spectral resolution, a wide field of view, and very high signal throughput. Headwall’s own application-specific diffraction gratings are fundamental to these key specifications, which are crucial for airborne hyperspectral sensors. Headwall’s all-reflective, concentric sensor design is robust and thermally stable.

  • Headwall’s Hyperspec® Inspector runs 24×7 unattended and is designed for extremely harsh environments. Hyperspec® systems offer attractive, cost-effective solutions very quickly by boosting product quality and plant efficiency while reducing the amount of unnecessary waste.

    For high-speed, in-line process inspection, Hyperspec® imaging sys­tems offer advantages over traditional machine-vision cameras in the ability to analyze, discern, and discriminate based on the chemi­cal composition of product on the manufacturing line.

     

  • There are three main areas where Headwall’s sensors are commonly used for defense and security applications. The first is airborne, second area is tactical and third area is ground-based.

    • Derive the spectral signature (tag) for every point within the field of view for material classification

    • Color render the image scene based on an established library of known spectral signatures or targets

    • For real-time analysis or post-processing, generate wavelength-specific criteria for spectral features or targets of interest.
